We are a small, friendly, techie-run software company of 24 people in the online gambling industry. Our product is the Open Gaming Architecture - 'OGA' - a gambling software platform built from the ground up in Python. It is a flexible and elegant architecture which allows free development of games against a stable framework without system-imposed limitations. We are fans of elegantly architected, simple, scalable, open-source solutions and as such, OGA is gaining a lot of interest in the marketplace.

This is an exciting phase for our company - there is a real opportunity for the right candidates to grow with the company and become valued experts and take as much responsibility as they can handle. You could be working on any area of the product: core, APIs, internal developments, customer integration, new features - any projects concerned with building, maintaining, improving, integrating and releasing our products. Specialise where you find the most satisfaction and take as much responsibility as you can handle.

You

We are looking for talented backend Python developers with commercial software development experience. You will have direct experience in a real web software development - you will understand that this is different from Data Science and Machine Learning. You will be a keen techie with an impressive level of knowledge for your experience. We are looking for junior to mid-level established software developers who want to move up to the next level and get stuck into making a big difference in a small company.

Requirements

Must haves:

• one year minimum solid commercial Python software development experience beyond data science and machine learning,
• strong in object-oriented Python development in direct software development experience,
• solid experience with relational databases,
• very sound general technical knowledge,
• experience of backend web application development and/or OLTP,
• based permanently in the UK - the company isn't offering visa/sponsorship opportunities or relocation packages for this role.
